Sheila Martineau PhD

Combining her abilities, interests, and experiences, Sheila collaborates with professionals to create their content, interviews visual and performing artists to cultivate their stories, and interacts with children to celebrate their passions.
Sheila holds a PhD in Social and Educational Studies from the University of British Columbia (1999). During the 1990s she taught critical thinking and social justice at UBC, conducted qualitative social research with non-profit organizations, and volunteered in the child and youth advocacy community.
Prior to attending university, Sheila owned and operated a fabric art and fashion design studio in the 1980s and was responsible for leasing and marketing shopping centres in the 1970s.
